Monetize And Promote

 If you have a website or blog where you promote your Twitter account are you just promoting your basic Twitter address? i.e. www.twitter.com/"UserNameHere" . By doing so, you are letting your visitors LEAVE your website.

  There is a simple fix to this problem... use http://twitter.com/intent/user?screen_name=UserNameHere . this will open a dialog box on top of your website when your visitor clicks the text or image that your twitter account is anchored to.  Even if you use a social networking platform that supports Twitter integration and only requires that you provide your Twitter username, you can still implement this trick. In the box where you input your twitter username, you just use intent/user?screen_name=UserNameHere and this will deploy that same dialog box mentioned above while keeping your visitors and readers on your page.

  People can hit that follow button right from the dialog box and they can even see your latest tweet!
